In Their Own Words - Voices of the PAC-6 - Person vs. Southern (10/4/2010)

The Southern Durham Spartans (1-6, 1-1) erased for one evening their 0-6 start with a convincing win over the Person Rockets (1-5, 0-2).  The Spartans have played one of, if not the toughest schedules in the state and finally broke through with their first win of the 2010 season.  The following quotes are from the voices of the PAC-6 and were included an article from the Roxboro Courier Times.  For more information on the game follow the links provided at the end of the post.

First year Person head coach Lou Geary commenting on the quality of the Spartans' team and the progress of the Rockets over the past few months.
"That's a good team over there, the best 0-6 team in the state as I said this week.  Hats off to them, they got their first win of the year," he said. "We're just going to keep working in practice to get better and come together as a team.  Anytime you have a new coach it takes a little bit of time.  I've been here about four months and we're still in the building process," he added.
Coach Geary on his Rockets.
"We've got good athletes here.  We just haven't put it together yet."
