Dropping out after their loss to Wakefield are the Cougars of Wake Forest-Rolesville, although they are the first team left out of the Super Six this week. The Trojans also dropped out and are one slot behinnd WFR in the outsiders groups.
The News and Observer Top 12, Nick's OT Top 12, Tom Suiter Fabulous 15 and the CarolinaPreps Top 25 are not direct comparisons to the other three polls as they include teams from other classifications (3A - 1A). In addition, the N&O poll does not take Fayetteville schools such as Britt into consideration. T-W6 indicates 'through week 6', NR indicates 'not ranked', T14 indicates that the team is tied for 14, (=) indicates the team did not change positions from last week, (+2) indicates the team has a ranking two slots better than the previous week, (-4) indicates the team has a ranking four slots worse than the previous week.
