PAC-6 Breakdown (Week 2 Playoffs) - Purnell Swett visits Hillside - Hornets are Building Steam

For those Hornet and PAC-6 fans that were looking forward to the usual breakdown of the game this week, all I can say is shout out to other parts of the state and encourage them to report statistics to the local media sources, that's assuming that certain teams in certain areas actually record statistics.   Who knows!  What I can tell you is that it was tough going on the statistics front for Purnell Swett - as in they must be sealed up in some undisclosed location - I certainly couldn't find them.  But enough on the Rams, the Hornets put together another quality performance last week against Southeast Guilford and although they didn't dominate in sheer overall numbers they did shut down one of the more potent rushing attacks in the state in the form of the Falcons.

The Hornets rushed to a 30 point halftime lead and finished the game out with a solid 46-0 victory.  Swett is 8-4 on the year and has played just three high caliber teams in the form of Scotland County, Richmond County and Lumberton.  They lost both of the former, while just getting past Lumberton in the final game of the regular season 22-17.  Last week they took down a 6-5 Terry Sanford squad.  Both squads took on E.E. Smith this year with the Rams losing in their opener 13-6 while the Hornets steamrolled the Golden Bulls 48-0.

Game time is approaching fast and if you are heading out to Hillside, you best get going cause that line is going to be oh-so-long...with that let's get started!
